  1. Macroscopic system is the one with objects or phenomena visible with the naked eye and w/o magnifying instruments.
  2. The microscopic system will be the opposite of the described above - we will require optical magnifying tools to see the objects and event of the system.
  3. Sometimes a Microscopic system considered to be a scale between Macroscopic and Quantum systems.

Please note that the microscopic and macroscopic view can be applied to the same system. A pen can be seen macroscopically as a plastic tube with ink that stays on a paper during the writing. Microscopically it can be viewed as polymer chains that create the plastic tube and suspension with solvent and coloured pigments (ink).
